So, a few months ago a song started getting played on our radio station and we immediately loved it, it was a song called Love Song and the girls just loved it. Shad showed up one day with the CD. He had one it on the radio station. We began listening and quickly it became a favorite. I have noticed that I love piano...period. Anything that has underlying piano becomes a favorite for me and the girls. Anyway, she was in concert last night and last minute Shad and I decided maybe we would try to go...tickets were only $13.00. We found out they were sold out and were kinda sad but oh well...So we were running errands and one of the DJ's from our station was doing a remote at a store and had a pair of tickets to the concert. They said you could spin teh wheel to get them. Last week at the movie theater I spun and won aso we thought, hey we'll give it a shot. We get there and they had taken the wheel and she was doing rock paper scissors...LOL Best of three, we both lost. But then she said, hey, you guys can have the tickets. BONUS! So we went up to Provo, ate at one of my favorite restraunts, Brick Oven and headed to a small club called Velour where she was playing. It was great! I have never been to such a small concert. It was just her and her piano. A really intimate setting. She was so down to earth and witty and has such an amazing talent. Beautiful voice. After the concert was over she came out and we talked to her and she signed the music I had for Love Song. She even wrote all the girls names on it! Then we took a picture with her. She was just a sweetheart and we had a great time. So even though we got the CD for free and then went to the concert for free we would actually pay for her! Also, her guitarist, Javier opened and he was great too...we talked with him...There was only a few hundred people there at the most...fun night, and maybe someday when she makes it really huge we can say, hey, we knew her when! If you don't have her album, buy it. It is worth every penny.

Here is her singing Love Song last night at Velour. We recorded it with my digital camera so you can't see her well but the sound is awesome! Turn your sound up and pause my player down further on my blog....
