Music again...

I like to write...in all different forms. I love to listen to songs and hear the lyrics. I always listen carefully and try to imagine why the person wrote what they wrote and how they might have been feeling at the time. I always feel kind of sad for some of these artists out there. In listening to the lyrics I find that they seem so lost. They seem to be searching and I wish so much I could share the knowledge that I feel I have with them. There is so much suffering and sadness at times in lyrics. I like songs with meaning and purpose. One of my favorite artists is, and has been for at least 10 years, Sarah Maclachlan. I have every CD or single that she has ever done...that includes one with Bryan Adams on the Spirit Stallion of The Cimmaron soundtrack called Don't Let Go, and When She loved Me off the Toy Story 2 soundtrack, and even one of my total favs Delerium featuring Sarah Maclachlan, a song called Silence. Her Christmas album was released about two years ago and is one of my favorite Christmas albums. Anyway..she recently put out a new single and I immediately fell in love with it. I love piano and she always has piano in her songs. This particular song though, is off her upcoming album, Closer. I heard recently that she and her husband (who she has two daughters with) are separating and it always makes me sad to hear this especially when children are involved but then I listened to the lyrics of the song and it just made me so sad. I have felt this way almost exactly with the breakup of my 1st marriage and the words just really were beautiful and sad at the same time..but I could relate...so I thought I would share them. If you have the chance to listen to any of her other work please do. She is an awesome songwriter and very melodic. She has a song called, In The Arms Of The Angels which was played at my husbands cousins son, Gages funeral. Gage never made it into this world as he passed away at around 36 weeks. It was a sad thing in our family and I remember attending the funeral and hearing this song played at the graveside and I loved it before that but now every time I hear it I remember Gage. It is beautiful as well. Well..here are the lyrics to the new song...
